Active Stall regulation Proven concept Large rotor and large swept area kvm/kW Optimized for low and middle wind areas Excellent grid compatibility 82 NM [NM82] Optimized for low and middle wind areas Proven concept As with all NEG Micon turbines, the NM82 is approved by DNV according to appropriate standards. The nacelle builds on the well-tested and proven design of the NM60/1000, NM64C/1500 NM72C/1500 and NM82/1500. Robust design Both nacelle and tower are designed to meet the relevant type approval area and special market requirements. ACTIVE STALL rotor The rotor is based on the NEG Micon hydraulic ACTIVE-STALL® technology and has proven itself in climates ranging from the Orkney Islands off Scotland (11 m/s annual mean wind speed) to inland low wind areas. The ACTIVE-STALL® technology enables the rotor to harness maximum energy from the available wind while minimising loads and providing fail-safe shut down of the turbine in all conditions. Excellent grid compatibility The ACTIVE-STALL® system enables the turbine to start up efficiently in low wind speeds, connect smoothly to the grid in high wind start-ups, and to shut down safely and speedily when conditions demand. Grid compliance system on request • Full load and dynamic phase compensation supporting reactive power regulation to maintain power factor within specified range • Uninterrupted power supply back-up to maintain full operation of all auxiliary systems in the wind turbine during grid disturbances • Continuous regulation of active and reactive power to support power and voltage balance in the grid • Fault ride through capability at grid disturbance Track record beyond 11,000 installed WTGs By the end of 2002 NEG Micon had installed about 11,000 wind turbines in almost 40 countries. Pioneer inside wind industry NEG Micon has been inside the wind industry business since the early start of the 1980’ies. World’s broadest product program NEG Micon offers the markets broadest product portfolio, which enables us to adjust products and technologies to the conditions of individual sites. The product program is optimised continuously through intensive product development. The ability to identify and supply tailored solutions is one of NEG Micon’s core competencies achieved through years of experience with product development. NEG Micon’s philosophy behind its broad product program is to be able to supply the correct and competitive turbine for a specific site. The days are over where one wind turbine model could be erected on all sites, irrespective of wind regime, temperature, temperature movements, air humidity, service availability, etc. High proven availability In 2002 the average availability of NEG Micon turbines was 98.12%. Global/Local monitoring Wherever it is, NEG Micon offers to monitor the turbines. Turbines in all climates Experience from almost every corner of the world.
