It gives me immense pleasure to inform that the Department of Basic Sciences (Physics,
Chemistry& Environmental Science) of Pragati Engineering College is organizing a Two Day
Faculty Development Programme on “Significance of Interdisciplinary Research in Basic
Sciences” on 19th & 20th March 2016.
This FDP is proposed to impart knowledge and knowhow about the latest methodologies of Research in Basic Sciences which primarily include liquid crystal and its advanced applications, Nano Materials for suitable considerations, NMR & Electro analytical
Techniques, Environmental Impact Assessment & Audit, Nano materials for energy stored applications , Environmental Issues in an Industry, Scientific Research-A case study and
Interdisciplinary Research and its significance in Basic Sciences. The programme also provides an opportunity to the teaching fraternity to explore different avenues of research and refine their ideas.
Pragati Engineering College was established under the aegis of Gayatri Educational Society with the aim of imparting quality education in science & technology to the aspiring students. The
Institution is permanently affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada and Accredited by NAAC with ’A’ grade and recognized by UGC under sections 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC Act 1956. R&D Division of the Institution has been conducting potential interdisciplinary research programmes in chemistry with other Science and Engineering subjects.
We are enclosing herewith the Brochure for wide circulation among all the staff members of Department of Basic Sciences.
We earnestly request you to encourage us by sponsoring at least one faculty member of
Physics, Chemistry& Environmental sciences to actively participate in the FDP for enhancement of Research attitude.
