Description of content: The notified draft Resolution sets forth the health requirements
to be met by establishments engaged in the slaughter of capybaras and the cutting,
storage, marketing, sale, importation and exportation, and transport of meat from
capybaras intended for human consumption; Purpose; Scope; Definitions; Sanitary
standards; Sanitation standard operating procedures; Ante- and post-mortem inspection;
Hazard analysis and HACCP plan; Commercial hunting; Plants engaged in the slaughter of
animals for local consumption; Storage, sale and transportation; Inspection, monitoring,
control and penalties; Notification and period of validity.

applicable: Protection of life and health and prevention of practices likely to mislead
consumers.
