Department of International Cooperation since May 2010: Director
Department of International Cooperation (June 2009 - May 2010): Deputy Director responsible for ASEAN matters, legal and judicial cooperation between Vietnam and states located in Americas and Europe.
Department of International Law (October 2003 - June 2009): Senior Legal Expert and
Deputy Director of the Department of International Law (June 2004 - June 2009); member of Vietnamese Government Negotiation Delegation For Economic and Trade

Treaties and Arrangements: in charge of international legal matters relating to Vietnam's international economic integration, including negotiations of international treaties many of which are on ASEAN integration (such as ASEAN Charter, HLEG works...) and Vietnam's
WTO accession, drafting domestic legal instruments, involved in implementation of international treaties in the domestic legal system, taking part in resolution of economic and commercial disputes by international arbitration or foreign tribunals and courts .
Department of International Law and International Cooperation (January 1994 -
October 2003): Legal Expert on international trade law and other legal aspects of
Vietnam's international economic integration.
Performed legal works relating to international trade law, including legal issues in

Trade Agreement, ASEAN, APEC, ASEM, etc. and with WTO agreements and rules to produce recommendations for Vietnam’s Legislative Action Plan to comply with international existing and future trade commitments.
National Committee for International Economic Cooperation (since 8/2001)
Have been seconded to the Committee as Legal Expert for the Expert Task Force of the
Governmental Negotiation Team established by the Government of Vietnam, inter alia, to negotiate for the WTO membership.
Researched various international legal aspects in economic and trade areas, including trade law regimes of some main trading nations, such as U.S., Canada, ASEAN-CER partnership, special and differential treatment granted to developing countries in
WTO, making expert comments on the 4 th WTO Doha Ministerial Conference results and possible outcome of the next WTO negotiation round in some areas.
