Gait/Posture Project By the end of the semester, each group will create a PowerPoint Presentation containing the following information: 1. Gait Mechanics Video Analysis Each individual of the group will create a PowerPoint presentation containing: 2. Posture/Flexibility Analysis Content: 1. Gait Mechanics Video Analysis a. You will analyze the video to determine if there are any structural abnormalities (e.g., pes planus, pronated sub-talar joint, genu valgum, etc.). An explanation of the abnormality is required, what causes the abnormality, and what corrective measures might be necessary. b. Answer the questions from the PowerPoint given to each student 2. Posture Analysis a. A summary of your posture analysis from lab will be displayed along with any notations of abnormal posture. If abnormal posture is found, explain the abnormality and what the appropriate correction might be. (Pictures required for any abnormalities) b. A flexibility analysis will also occur stating which joints have an abnormal ROM. In the cases where the ROM is decreased compared to normal, explain what could be done to correct this altered ROM. c. An objective analysis based on specific tests done in lab class on muscular endurance for specific postural muscles. i. Push-up ii. Curl-up iii.
