PROGRAM PREREQUISITES FOR LPN PROGRAM
To be put on the wait list the following need to be completed:
Documentation of college level course work in English, Math, Reading.
This is done by ACT/SAT scores, accuplacer scores or college level
course work.
PROGRAM ACCEPTANCE
Admission for the practical nursing program will be based
on a point system. Points are awarded based on following:
Grade point average on required preprequsites
Prerequisite Requirements:
Prior Degree
Must be completed with a grade of "C" or better
Certified Nursing Assistant
A cumulative GPA of 2.25 is required for all prerequisites
Score on nursing preadmsision test
Science prerequisites are valid for 7 years from time of
Proof of being from NJC's service area one year prior
completion to the start of the Nursing Program
to start date
Must apply to the nursing program
Grade of "C" or better is required for each prerequisite course.
