GETTING STARTED
Siebert BrokerageExpress is an automated
telephone trading system that enables you to access
your account information, obtain real-time quotes
and place orders by repeating specific commands, as
prompted by the system.
You access Siebert BrokerageExpress toll-free at
1-866-546-9366. This guide gives you information
on trading and account access through both speech
recognition technology and touch-tone response. To
ensure successful menu navigation when using voice
commands, please limit background noise.
LOGIN
1.
Enter or say your User ID Number.
2.
Enter or say your PIN.
You will hear a Welcome message, and then be
brought into the Main Menu.
GLOBAL COMMANDS
The following commands are always available from
anywhere in the system:
•
Say “Help” for instructions on how to answer
a prompt, and for examples of what you should say.
•
Say “Main Menu” or press *6 from anywhere in
the system to return to the main menu.
•
Say “Representative” or “Agent: to speak with a
Trading or Customer Service Representative.
•
Say “Goodbye” to exit the system and end the call.
•
Say “Go Back” to hear the previous audio prompts.
•
Say “Previous” or press 4 to hear the previous item
in a list .
•
Say “Next” or press 6 to jump to the next item in
a list.
•
Say “Repeat” to hear the current audio prompt again.
MAIN MENU
From the Main Menu, you can navigate to
anywhere in the system by speaking a command or
pressing a touch-tone key. To get to the Main
Menu, just say “Main Menu” or press *6. The
Main Menu items are, in order, Quotes, Place and
Order, Account Information, Market News and
Other Services.
QUOTES
Quotes are available for stocks, mutual funds,
market indices, options and Canadian securities. To
obtain a quote you can do the following:
Get stock quotes:
Press 1 at Main Menu, then 1 –
Say “Stock Quotes”
at Main Menu
Get mutual fund quotes:
Press 1 at Main Menu, then 2 –
Say “Mutual Fund
Quotes” at the

Get index quotes:
Press 1 at Main Menu, then 3 –

Process for obtaining a quote:
Once in the quote menu item of your choice, say the
name or symbol for the security or enter the symbol via
the keypad. If the security has multiple classes of shares,
the system will ask you for the share class.
When using the keypad to enter security symbols, each
letter is comprised of two key strokes. The first is the
numerical key location of the letter; the second indicates
the letter’s position on the keypad (for example,”L” is
on keypad #5 and in the 3rd position, yielding a keypad
entry of “53”).
At any time while listening to a quote you can request an
expanded quote by saying “More Details.” Also, you
can submit an order for a quoted security by saying
“Place an Order” while listening to a quote. Finally,
you can add a quoted security to a Watch List by saying
“Add to Watch List.”
PLACE AN ORDER
1.
From the Main Menu say “Place an Order” or press 2.
From a Quote, say “Place an Order.”
2.
You can say Stocks, or press 1. Options, or press
2. Mutual Funds, or press 3. Cancel and Order,
or press 4.
3.
Next, choose an account from a list of accounts to
place the order. If there is only one account, that
account is selected by default.
4.
To place this order in a cash account, press 1.
For margin account, press 2.
5.
You must then say the name of the security or
symbol. You can also enter a symbol, followed by
#. For help, say “Help” or press *.
From this point, you must enter the components of the
order. A quick way for you to enter this information is by
saying the entire order components with their values.
Examples:
Stock Order: “Buy 100 Shares Stop Limit 155, Good
for the Day.”
Option Order: “Buy 2 Contracts, At the Market”
Mutual Fund Order: “Buy 20,000 Dollars”

MARKET NEWS
From the Main Menu say “Market News” or press 4.
The system will read the most recent market summary.
This information is updated on a hourly basis. If you
want to stop the read back, just say “Stop”. From there
you can either check the “Most Actives”, “Gainers &
Losers” or “Advances & Declines.”

Stock Exchange or the NASDAQ.
You can switch between the two exchanges by saying
“NASDAQ” or “New York Stock Exchange” during each
read back of the Market News for “Most Actives”,
“Gainers & Losers” and “Advances & Declines”.
OTHER SERVICES
Other services allow the customer to modify or delete
their Watch Lists or Change their PIN number.
From the Main Menu say “Other Services” or Press 5.
