University Housing We Make Community Happen Housing Options Mary Ward & Mary Park Halls Mary Ward & Mary Park Halls The Village At Centennial Square (VCS) These buildings provide a traditional residence hall-style environment suited to academic and personal growth for first-year students. Theme communities are available, including floors for undeclared majors and for students interested in campus leadership opportunities. Residence hall rooms are fully furnished double occupancy with showers and bathrooms on each wing of every floor. The Village at Centennial Square Buildings A, B and C feature two- and three-bedroom apartment units. VCS apartments are reserved for first-year residents and include theme and living/learning communities. VCS Three-Bedroom Apartment The Towers At Centennial Square (TCS) Apartments and Jr. Suites TCS Jr. Suites TCS Two-Bedroom Apartment The Towers Jr. Suites and Apartments are double and triple occupancy. ►Jr. Suites and one-bedroom apartments are shared by two students. Jr. Suites are part of the Science and Technology Theme Community. ►Two-bedroom apartments are shared by five students in a combination of double and triple occupancy bedrooms. ►TCS floors are divided into Living Learning Communities (LLCs) based on academic major. ►Some non-theme spaces are also available. Apartment shared living areas are furnished with couches, a dining room table and chairs. Kitchens include stove top, full refrigerator, sink and cabinetry. The Village Apartments include single- or double-occupancy bedrooms. Single-occupancy rooms have one student in one bedroom. Double-occupancy rooms have two students sharing a bedroom. Village apartments have private bathrooms and are furnished with couches, dining room table and chairs and a full kitchen equipped with a dishwasher. ► Utilities (gas, electric, water, garbage) UPN Tower 3-Bedroom Apartment What’s Included Furnished units include: ► Bed ► Desk ► Dresser ► High-speed Internet ► Basic cable *Students in unfurnished units must provide furniture and pay for cable and Internet for their own unit. ► Cable (one outlet per unit) How Do I Apply for Housing? The University Park Unfurnished Community offers returning and upper-division students one- to three-bedroom apartments. These apartments are rented on a year or academic year license agreement and do include utilities. Cable, Internet access and parking are not included. At SF State, on-campus housing is not required and not guaranteed. Applying for a space on campus is a separate process from University admission. Housing applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Housing spaces are confirmed based on application dates and dates pertaining to license agreements as outlined in the “Important Dates” section below. Apply before January to increase your chances of obtaining a housing space next fall. For detailed floor plans: housing.sfsu.edu Meal Plans University Park Bedspace (UP) University Park Bedspace units include two- and threebedroom University Park South (UPS) townhomes and University Park North (UPN) garden and tower apartments, located adjacent to the main housing community. University Park Bedspace units include: University Park North Unfurnished Bed Space Apartments All communities EXCEPT University Park Bedspace have a meal plan included in the cost. Students can choose from 7-Day and 5-Day Continuous Meal Plans, as well as Block Meal Plans of 336 or 240 meals per semester. VCS residents can also choose 112 or 80 Block Meal Plans. UPS Two-Bedroom Apartment 1. Apply to San Francisco State University and obtain your University ID. 2. Apply for housing online using your University ID at housing.sfsu.edu. Important Dates October 1-March 1: Apply for housing using the online portal March-April: Return to the portal to complete licensing process and make initial housing payment ► One landline telephone per unit and ► Wired and wireless Internet access June: Receive space confirmation University Park South is also the home of the Global Village Community dedicated to a culturally diverse living environment where international students live alongside domestic students.
