Recruitment apprenticeships are designed to provide
apprentices with the knowledge, skills and understanding
they require to carry out their job role and to support their
future progression within your business.

They encompass the development of personal learning and
thinking skills that will help an apprentice to succeed at work.
Your apprentices can be trained in a variety of roles, such as:
Trainee Recruitment Consultants; Junior Recruitment
Consultants; Resourcers; Account Representatives.
The recruitment apprenticeship and its component
qualifications have been developed through consultation with
the Recruitment Employment Confederation (REC) and
Institute of Recruiters (IOR), in order to ensure it meets the
needs of the sector.

• Functional skills - core set of skills required to do the
job (e.g. English and maths)
• Competence - technical skills completed in the workplace
• Knowledge - technical knowledge and theory relevant to
the job role
• Employee rights & responsibilities – what an employee is

employer and colleagues
