Collateral Underwriter Version 3.2 Release Notes
April 11, 2016
During the weekend of May 21, 2016, Fannie Mae will implement Collateral Underwriter® (CU™)
Version 3.2, which will include these updates:
 CU Appraisal-Sharing Functionality
 User Interface Enhancements
 CU Help Center Phone Number Update
CU Appraisal-Sharing Functionality
The Uniform Collateral Data Portal® (UCDP®) recently added new appraisal-sharing functionality that enables
correspondent lenders to easily share appraisal information with their aggregators. CU Version 3.2 will
leverage the UCDP solution to provide aggregators access to their correspondents’ appraisal results in the CU
web application, providing aggregators greater certainty in their correspondent loan pipeline.
CU Appraisal-Sharing Details
 When a correspondent shares an appraisal in UCDP, the designated aggregator will be able to view
the appraisal throughout the CU web application with the CU Version 3.2 release.
 Aggregators will be able to view all appraisals that were shared with them in UCDP beginning the
weekend of May 21, regardless of whether the appraisals were shared before or after the weekend
of May 21.
 All resubmissions of shared appraisals under the same DocFile ID will be viewable by the
aggregator (the correspondent will not need to share again in UCDP).
CU Appraisal-Sharing User Interface Enhancements
New fields will be added to the CU web application to allow aggregators to easily identify and search for their
correspondent-shared appraisals:
 Workflow Search – Additional search options will be added to the Workflow Search function:
• Submitted/Shared radio button: ‘Submitted’ will display appraisals submitted to UCDP by the lender’s
own organization. ‘Shared’ will display appraisals shared by correspondents. The default selection will be
‘Submitted’.
• ‘Designated Date’ will filter shared appraisals by the date the correspondent first shared the appraisal.
 Search Results – The Search Results screen will be updated to add two new columns:
• The ‘Lender’ field will display the organization that submitted the appraisal to UCDP (five characters for
approved sellers or the five digit non-seller number for non-sellers).
• The ‘Des Date’ field will display the date the correspondent first shared the appraisal with the aggregator
in UCDP (this date will be blank for lenders’ own appraisals.)
 Appraisal Summary Bar – Two new fields will be added to the appraisal summary bar (top bar
when viewing appraisal results):
