Gender Studies (Kajian Gender)
Studies Program Women's Studies (Gender Studies), University of
Indonesia was established in 1990. Since the beginning of its
establishment is under graduate program, University of Indonesia.
Status of Women's Studies Program (Gender Studies) reinforced
with No.29/DIKTI/Kep/1994 Accredited universities in the world.
Commencing on March 27, 2012 Women's Studies Program has
changed its name to Gender Studies Program (Rector's Decree
number : 0571/SK/R/UI/2012.
Studies Program Women's Studies (Gender Studies) produces
graduates who have a great interest and concern to women and
gender issues, intellectual competence and power analysis sintensis
good, have good writing skills and scientific ethics.

Qualifications
Vision
Graduates Women's Studies (Gender Studies) answers the need for
a gender expert to ensure gender equality in various spheres of life
of the micro areas of personal and community policies and
implementation of small to very large policy in Indonesia.
1. Gender Studies produces graduates who have a great interest
and concern to women and gender issues, intellectual competence
and power-analysis sintensis good, have good writing skills and
scientific ethics.
2. Answering the need for a gender expert to ensure gender
equality in various spheres of life of the micro areas of personal and
community policies and implementation of small to very large
policies in Indonesia
Being a leading referral institution in the national and international
level for the conceptual development of women's studies and
gender studies in Indonesia, in order to fight for the creation of a

Objective
Implement education, research and community service at the level
of graduate education, as the embodiment of the role of gender
equitable society actively seek, through :
a. Develop curriculum and interdisciplinary study and the weight
balanced between theory and practice, using an inclusive approach
to gender equity.
b. Aligning curriculum with workforce development, social change,
development of information technology and global development to
ensure relevance and strategic role of field studies and graduate.
c . Provide education to produce students and graduates who have
the ability to analysis - synthesis in both the issues of women and
gender studies, as well as the commitment to implement
competence.
d. Developing research and studies on women's issues and gender
relations in accordance with the needs of the community
reinforcement, using a credible approach and methodology,
contextual and follow the latest developments.
e. Implement community service activities by developing
partnerships and mutual reinforcement between universities, state
agencies and government, as well as the wider community in its
various forms, at local, national and international.
