Your college application is enhanced by an AP or ECE course!
You may list them as college courses on your
CommonApp ONLY if you enroll as an
ECE student!
Compare the costs and evaluate the benefits!
UCONN tuition for one semester is approximately:
$10,000!
1 semester = 15-18 credits
ECE credits awarded for
a final grade of C or better
*as calculated by UCONN standards
3 credits cost $145**
4 credits cost $180**
** includes $20 program fee
AP credits are different
for each college
and are generally awarded
for scores of 4 or 5 only,
based on the AP exam
Test cost: $91
Why might you take an ECE course if you are already enrolled in an AP course
and must take the AP exam?
If you are not a strong test taker and are a stronger classroom performer,
the ECE class may be a better option. Ask your teacher or counselor!
