1. Optical bench overview
Optical bench can fulfill the needs of optical, electronic, Precision Machinery, Precision chemical,
NDT. The dynamic mechanical characteristics have a direct impact on the veracity and reliability of
test results. Equipment micro vibrations directly affect the precision scientific instrument
measurement precision.
Recently, ZOLIX has been devoted to the optical bench improvement about the dynamic
performance, and could provide high quality service.

Adopt Ferromagnetic stainless steel surface, honeycomb supported inner core structure, and
provide excellent ant-vibration performance. This breadboard has better planeness. Especially,
collect effect is suitable for optical experiment, which can reduce the stray light. And the standard
pitchs are very convenient for different mounts.

DVIO-B series breadboards
2.3.1. Benefits
Thickness 50 or 100 mm as optional. 430 series high permeability stainless steel material, which
heat distortion coefficient is very small. True cellular kernel layer 3 sandwich structure, which has
superior performance of rigidity and damping. Each screw hole has one isolation cup ( Depth
25mm) for the sealing, which is very convenient to clean.
2.3.2. Specifications
Planeness: ±0.1mm/600mm×600mm; structure: true honeycomb core, three layer sandwich
structure. Honeycomb core: Steel ( 0.25mm depth steel plate, honeycomb area 3.2cm2); Surface
plate：4.0mm depth, 430 series high permeability stainless steel material, Edge wallboard : 2.0mm
depth carbon steel parcel high damping materials with the polyethylene material as the packing
materials. Bottom plate: 4.0mm depth carbon steel oxidation surface treatment. M6 screw holes.
25mm grid, from the edge 37.5 mm. Screw holes / core seal: each core has one isolation cup
( Depth 25mm) for the sealing, which is very convenient to clean.

3.3.1. ZVB series automatic balance vibration isolation benefits
Vibration isolation is supported with two layers balloon isolation and high damping holes, superior
performance of damping. Structure is stable and reliable, autoinflation, Level automatically. Mute
air compressor supply with low noise.

4.1.

1. Check the upright(1#), beam(2#) and oblique(3#), using the small stay wrench(M16X18)

screws(4#) to assemble the upright(1#), beam(2#) and oblique(3#). Ensure that no distortion,
tilt and loose
2. Put the bench on the support, make sure the screw holes upward. Then level the optical bench.
Put the leveling instrument(8#) on one of the legs of the bench, use big stay wrench(M41X46) to
loose the Screw (7#), turn the support department (9#) using stick (6#) until the air bubble is on
the centre. Then put the leveling instrument(8#) on another leg of the bench to align other three
legs level using the same method.
3.Use the leveling instrument(8#) to check if the bench is really level or not, test about five different
positions on the bench. At last, tighten the screw (7#).
4.2.
OTPOT (≥1500)
1. Check the upright(1#), long beam(2#) and short beam(3#), using the small stay wrench(M16X18)
and screws(4#) to assemble the upright(1#), long beam(2#) and short beam(3#). Ensure that
no distortion, tilt and loose.
2. Put the bench on the support, make sure the screw holes upward. Then level the optical bench.
Put the leveling instrument(8#) on one of the legs of the bench, use big stay wrench(M41X46) to

loose the Screw (7#), turn the support department (9#) using stick (6#) until the air bubble is on
the centre. Then put the leveling instrument(8#) on another leg of the bench to align other three
legs level using the same method.
3. Use the leveling instrument(8#) to check if the bench is really level or not, test about five
different positions on the bench. At last, tighten the screw (7#).
4.3.
ZVB
1. Check the Pneumatic tube, gas-pressure meter.
Adjust the supporting lift part, make the
supporting bracket to be stability in contact with the ground.
2. Adjust three vacuum tubes level regulator screw to proper position. Put the bench on the
supporting bracket, make sure all the three vacuum tubes level regulator screws are pressed by
the bench.
3. Connect the air compressor( see air compressor manual.)

supporting bracket , turn on the air compressor for the gas-filled,
and please pay attention to the
reading.

After adding the load on the bench, please make
sure the pressure regulating filter reading in the safe range.
4. Put the leveling instrument on the bench, align three vacuum
tubes level regulator screws to proper position until the bench is
horizontal, .then tighten the screw.
NOTE: for the air damping optical bench, there is the compressed air in the pneumatic tub. And
there are dust and water vapour in the air. So after using for a long time, you can see the dust,
water vapour in the cup of the filter. Just gently pull the cup bottom metal column, water will be
removed by the compressed air.

5. Unpacking Procedure
5.1 Visual examination
Please do the following inspection for all packing box.
Check whether the packaging is intact outside the equipment; there are situations, such as damage,
soaks, out of shape, etc.
If shipping damage is noticed at delivery, please inform Zolix Or Representatives immediately.
5.2 Unpacking procedures
Please open the packing box and make sure Do-Not use the heavy-duty tools or opens rudely.
With the proper tool according to the direction shown on the packing box so as not to cause inside
equipment to be damaged.
Do not use the silt housing or other protrusions for lifting.
5.3 After unpacks
Please inspect for previously hidden damages or corrosions and inform Zolix and carrier
immediately.
Based on contract and packing list, check specification, mode, and quantity.
Have above-mentioned situation please report immediately to Zolix or representatives
Please keep all packing material at least six months for extra transportation.
6. Warning
Warning !!!
Please avoid touching water.
Please don't put patch board or other charged device on the optical bench directly.
Don't use sharp, hard or overweight things to scrape the optical bench.
Never overload!
Never use the Optical bench in
tilted.
Optical bench adjustment part just for the leveling only, never to back-out excessive.
Do not put the acid, alkali and other chemicals which produce chemical reaction with
metal on the bench directly.

Certification and Warranty
7. Certifications and Warranty
Zolix Instruments Corporation (Zolix) certifies that this instrument was thoroughly tested and
inspected and found to meet the specifications furnished by Zolix when it was shipped from
the factory.
Zolix Instruments Corporation (Zolix) instruments and accessories are warranted for a period of
one full year from date of delivery to be free from defects in material and to conform to the
specifications furnished by Zolix. The corporation’s obligation under this warranty is limited to
servicing or adjusting an instrument returned to the factory, prepaid, and to repairing at the
factory any part or parts thereof All purchased items carry the original manufacturers’ warranty.
Zolix Corporation shall not be liable for consequential damages resulting from accident,
alteration, and improper installation, operation on low or excessive voltages or use in violation
of the operating instructions furnished by Zolix.
If any defect appears within the warranty period, the purchaser shall promptly notify Zolix No
material will be accepted for repair or replacement without prior authorization from Zolix Upon
such authorization and in accordance with instructions of Zolix, parts, materials or equipment
for which repair or replacement is requested shall be returned to Zolix for examination, with
shipping charges prepaid by the purchaser. Final determination as to whether a product or part
is actually defective rests with Zolix Instruments Corporation,
In such cases where necessary repairs are not covered by this warranty, an estimate of repair
charges will be submitted to the purchaser before servicing the equipment.
Zolix Instrument Corporation reserves the right to make changes or improvement upon its
products without imposing any obligations upon it to install the same upon its products
previously manufactured.
This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other obligations or liabilities on the part of Zolix, and
Zolix neither assumes, nor authorizes any other person to assume for then other obligations or
liability in connection with the sale of equipment manufactured by Zolix Instruments
Corporation.
