Job Description – Sales Support Executive

Role Purpose
Provide the sales team with well qualified leads through researching the market and cold calling. Secondly
provide sales administration support to the National Sales Manager and team.
Reports to National Sales Manager
Role Responsibilities

Work with the marketing function and sales team to generate leads, including:
o Researching potential prospects using the internet, CRM and databases, developing an assessment
of the needs of the prospect, the organisation structure and decision makers, and potential for
iCareHealth to assist them
o Analysing opportunities for prospective clients by sector, geographical area and type, providing the
team with leads/opportunities
o Make outbound telephone calls to prospective clients, qualifying the opportunity
o Take incoming telephone calls requesting information, literature and demonstrations
o Directing enquiries, taking messages, forwarding information to relevant parties and scheduling
prospect meetings and demonstrations for the sales team

Develop a deep knowledge of the iCareHealth product set and be able to:
o Explain the scope of all our solutions and position accordingly in relation to an organisation’s
requirements
o Develop and tailor materials to assist the sales team in explaining key features & benefits
o Conduct high level demonstrations on the core product range.

Work with the sales team to provide support to their activities, including:
o Assisting in managing the diaries and time of the field sales team.
o Producing proposals, quotes and supply agreements.
o Assisting sales team members in managing outstanding quotes and closing these before expiry.
o Maintaining all aspects of client records in the iCareHealth CRM.
o Updating the CRM data base with prospecting information .
o Participating in team projects and effectively managing individual projects around improving the
efficiency of the sales function.
o Attending exhibitions and events as required.

Work with the National Sales Manager to provide support in managing the team including:
o Developing and producing client materials and collateral, proposals, letters and other communications.
o Collating information and reporting on monthly sales figures, pipeline estimates, activity logs for the
team.
o Assisting National Sales Manager organise events, sales meetings and training days.
o Producing regular reports for the sales team, including maintaining sales board and reviewing
commission schedules.

Deal with customer complaints in accordance with company policy
The role will is office based but will involve some limited travel across the UK, with possible overnight stays.
Technical skills





Understanding of, and experience in, business to business sales.
Ability to undertake research and then communicate findings in an appropriate, written form.
Able to demonstrate an understanding of technical information, with the ability to convey this information to
both a technical and non-technical audience.
Ability to work independently and autonomously.
Experience in the use of Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, Word and the Internet as a research tool.
Person Specification







Relevant degree in a business or business related discipline.
Experience in a business to business sales environment.
Personable and clearly extroverted.
Naturally inquisitive and interested in researching business and organisations.
Collaborative but action oriented approach, with high comfort operating autonomously.
Developed business acumen and communication skills.
Passion for making a difference in the Social Care sector.
Goals & Objectives
This a new role within iCareHealth, and as a result the goals and objectives will evolve over time. However the
success of the role will be measured in the following areas:






Attain to and exceed daily call targets.
Number of qualified leads generated.
Number of meetings scheduled with prospective organisations.
Quantity and quality of supplementary intel/data generated.
Accuracy of CRM data.
Value of closed opportunities.
Remuneration and benefits





Annual base salary of up to £22,000
Potential for introduction of a bonus scheme after six months.
Provision of laptop computer and Smart Phone.
20 days paid holiday per annum + 8 public holidays + 5 days which are nominated by the company, usually
around Christmas and New Year.
The company operates a contributory pension scheme and entrance is voluntary after 6 months service
with 2.5% of your salary contribution matched by the company.
