UL Approval
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) / Third Party Test Data Program (TPTDP) is a unique
agreement of the Standards Institution of Israel with the Underwriters Laboratories, through which UL recognizes
SII tests and reports without presence of a UL representative. This agreement has been granted following a
thorough inspection of the SII proficiency and capability to fulfill the tasks at the level required by UL. This
agreement shortens the procedures for exporters of ITE equipment to UL and saves time and resources.
Electrical Safety Lab assists exporters at every stage of the process starting from identification of the market
requirements for a product (specification stage), through the design inspections and providing recommendations
for the optimum planning (performance stage) and ending in finding solutions to the problems that arise during
the process.
Performing tests in Israel, technical support in Israel, in most cases no need to send equipment abroad, all
communication with NRTL, until the issuance of final certification mark
Advantages of getting UL mark with SII:
- all testing is performed in Israel
- in most cases, no samples are sent abroad (ITE)
- continuous support by experienced staff during the whole project until receipt of the final
UL certification (Notice of Authorization)
- all communication with UL is done by SII

GS MARK WITH UL
The GS Mark (Geprüfte Sicherheit, meaning Safety Tested) is a
recognized mark for electrical products, such as office equipment,
household appliances and industrial equipment, and is widely
accepted throughout Europe.
Any electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical product bearing the
GS Mark indicates that it was tested and complies with the minimum
requirements of the German Equipment and Product Safety Act
(a.k.a. GPSG).
