HouseBestPaperAward,sponsoredbyUniversityofVictoria’sPeterB.GustavsonSchoolofBusiness.TheGLOBEaward willhonoranoutstandingrecentdissertation-basedarticle/paper,oranyotherpublishedpaperonleadership,societalor organizationalcultureusingtheGLOBEdatabase,GLOBEresearchtools,GLOBEleadershiporGLOBEculturetheory. Manuscripttopicsmayincludeleadership,organizationalbehavior,organizationtheory,strategicmanagement,corporate socialresponsibility,ethics,oranyotherorganizationalrelevanttopic.TherecipientoftheawardwillreceiveaUS$2,500 cashprizeandwillbenormallyhonoredattheGLOBEmeetingattheappropriateAcademyofManagementAnnual MeetingortheAcademyofInternationalBusinessAnnualMeeting. Criteriaforsubmission: • Adissertation-basedpaper(eithersingleormultipleauthored—withthedoctoralstudentasthefirstauthor)mustbe basedonadoctoraldissertationcompletedwithinthepast3years. • Anon-dissertationpaper(publishedorunpublished)couldalsobeeithersingleoramultipleauthoredpaper.Itshould bebasedonGLOBEdata,usingGLOBE’sinstrumentsand/ortheoreticalframeworks.If,published,itshouldhave appearedinapeerreviewedjournalwithinthepast3years. • Thepapermakesasignificantcontributiontotheresearchknowledgeinthefieldofgloballeadershipand/orcrossculturalresearch. • Itshouldincorporaterelevanttheoreticalandempiricalliterature. • Themethodologyanddataanalysisshouldadequatelytestengagingresearchquestions. • Thediscussionshouldhighlightthetheoretical,empiricalandpracticalcontributionsandsuggestfutureresearch directionsforgloballeadershipandcross-culturalresearch. • Thepapershouldlogically,succinctly,andclearlypresentideas.
