When these electronic components get in contact with water or any wet or liquid substance 3. Wrong placement of batteries (wrong polarity) 4. Using leaking (old) batteries could also damage the circuit 5. Placing these equipments in high temperature and very low temperature locations (sometimes dashboard cabinets and compartments of cars can get really hot when the car is left under open sunlight for a long time) also when the equipment is used in an air‐conditioned room and a sudden change in temperature could cause moisture in the circuit and could also cause problems 6. Applying too much pressure on the buttons of the NXT brick can also cause problems 7. Connecting motors to the NXT ports and turning the motors excessively while the NXT is powered ON could also pose a problem. even if the NXT is turned OFF, it is not advisable to turn the motors mechanically. 8. All these applies to the rechargeable batteries also unlike the NXT brick, the rechargeable batteries can't be repaired. These are sealed type batteries and no serviceable parts are inside. Try charging the batteries for more than 5 hours (if fully drained) but most of the time, 3 hours is enough. 10. Use only the supplied and prescribed battery chargers. USING DIFFERENT KIND OR TYPE OF CHARGER WOULD DAMAGE THE BATTERY 11. Always read the voltage requirement of the chargers. Most chargers are 110V but some are already 220v 12. Do not charge the battery every after use. maximize the power of the battery and charge only when it goes dead or if low bat is displayed. 13. The NXT brick must not be used using different kinds/types of batteries because its functionality can be hampered. 14. Sometimes the chipset inside the NXT brick experiences static disturbance because of the use of unbalanced power source. 15. When the buttons are not pressed properly.
