Catholic Elementary School. As Principal, together with our staff,
students, parent community and parish we will be working hard
to build a school community that will serve the needs of all
students whose learning will be guided by the Catholic Graduate
Expectations and the Ministry of Education curriculum
guidelines. Throughout the year, we hope to encourage children
to become independent global thinkers and creative problemsolvers who will learn from each other as much as from the adults
that surround them. We thank-you for your ongoing support, for
your guidance and for your understanding of the many new ways
of teaching and learning which will surely benefit your children in
the future.

Anaphylaxis Allergies
Kindergraten Registration
There are several children in the
school who are allergic to nuts,
peanuts or seeds. These are lifethreatening allergies. Please
ensure that your child’s lunch
does not include any peanut or
nut derivatives.
Kindergarten registration begins January 4th, 2016 in all York
Catholic schools. We look forward to welcoming your child into
our schools, where we emphasize academic success using a
curriculum that is infused with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You
can register your child at your local Catholic school. For more

Fundraising Activities
Classes Begin 8:30 am
All monies raised from Civvies Days has been and will be donated
to the Cancer Foundation. This charity provides research monies
for new discoveries and cures.
Morning Recess 10:00 am
Lunch 11:35 am
Classes Resume 12:35 pm
Afternoon Recess 1:55 pm
Dismissal 3:00 pm
Student Council - $2.00 popcorn or yoghurt until June. All
monies raised will offset the costs of student trips.
October 2014 Dance-a-thon Fundraising $13,011.00 - will be used
to purchase technology for the school.

Congratulations to St. Mary of the Angels school and community
for participating in the LEAF Awareness Program. The school
communities involvement and environmental awareness has
resulted in a 2nd place finish and a prize which includes a number
of trees or shrubs to be planted within our Peace Garden. Let us
continue to work together to ensure that that the world given to
us from God remains pristine and natural. Stay tuned for more
