Dual Maintained Contact Data Input Module
Description
The Dual Maintained Contact Data Input Module provides
sensing of dry contact closure from a third party device.
The module allows third party devices to trigger events in
the Savant System. The module has sixteen inputs and is
powered from the Savant keypad bus.
The Dual Maintained Contact Data Input Module works
similar to a keypad. Closing the contact results in a press
message, and opening the contact results in a release
message. The difference between momentary and
maintained is, the maintained contact module generates a
press message and a release message when the
connection state changes. No hold message is ever sent.
All of this messaging is sent using the Savant keypad
bus.
