General Information
Class 1 Surge Protective Devices specially designed for protection of direct lightning
on Solar Engy Systems. They are designed and tested to manage high energy direct
lightning impulse striking the DC side of Solar Energy Systems. The Class 1 SPDs
are recommended for locations defined by the LPZ concept of the standard. For
example, DC power line entrance of the converter connected to the Solar cell
modules. The products are generally installed at the entrance of the converter panel.
