Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Dr. Michael Eng is a graduate of the UBC Urology Residency Program in
2007. He practices Urology and Renal Transplantation at Providence Health Care in Vancouver. He is
primarily based at St. Paul’s Hospital but also works at Mount Saint Joseph’s Hospital.
Dr. Eng completed a Minimally Invasive Urology Fellowship at the University of Chicago, focusing on robotic
and laparoscopic surgery for the management of prostate, renal and bladder cancers. In addition to its
internationally-recognized expertise in laparoscopic partial nephrectomy for the management of small renal
masses, the University of Chicago currently has the 6th and 7th largest volume program for robotic-assisted
prostatectomy in the US and world, respectively.
Dr. Eng subsequently completed a Transplantation Fellowship at St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles,
which is one of the largest Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation programs in Southern California.
