HOW TO FIGURE MSF (1000 SQUARE FEET)
Caution: Mills that run their web grades to caliper may affect the yield due to basis
weight variations from actual basis weight. Therefore, some mills require web orders to
be entered and billed per 1000 square feet (MSF). Ordering in this manner will eliminate
shortages and overages due to any basis weight variation. This however, does not
eliminate normal mill trade customs for + / - total quantity shipped.
To find MSF (1000 square feet) needed:
