Accommodation in the three VVIP rooms (Mezzanine floor). Allotment to these
rooms will be by the Director’s Office through Administrative Officer / In-charge
(IIA- House keeping).
Accommodation in the nine VIP rooms (Fifth floor). Allotment to these rooms
will be by the In-charge (IIA- House keeping) in consultation with the
Administrative Officer, after the visit of the concerned individual(s) is approved
by Dean / Director.
Accommodation in the non AC rooms in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. Allotment to
these rooms will be by the In-charge (IIA - Housekeeping) in consultation with
the Administrative officer, after the visit of the concerned individual(s) is
approved by Dean / Director.

GUIDELINES FOR GUESTS

Guests should enter their entry / exit details in the register available at the
reception / with the security personnel at the gate.
Guests should provide proof of identity, when demanded by the security
personnel or the authorities concerned.
No more than two adults (plus two kids of age less then five years) can stay in the
same room.
Guests are expected to be in proper attire when they visit common areas for
dining, reading newspapers, watching television or discussions.
No material kept for use in common areas should be taken to the rooms and vice
versa.
Guests should use the common areas with utmost care.
The entire complex has WiFi facility for genuine use of the residents.
Common facilities such as washing machine, cloth dryer and ironing board are
provided in the terrace room above the fifth floor for the use of residents. House
keeping staff on duty may be approached for any help in this regard.
Each room is provided with a telephone for receiving incoming calls as well as
making outside calls. The procedure for calling from outside are as follows:
o From outside India: 91 (country code) + 80 (Bangalore code) + (telephone
number mentioned on the instrument).
o From within the country, but outside Bangalore: 080 (Bangalore code) +
(telephone number mentioned on the instrument).
o From within Bangalore: telephone number mentioned on the instrument.
Outside call access from the room telephone is limited to Bangalore. ‘0’ should be
prefixed to the number to be dialed. For contacts within the complex, the last four
digits of the concerned number should be dialed.
Landmark for identification to the complex: Opposite to Kendriya Sadan / close
to Ayyappa temple in Madivala.
Complaints / suggestions if any may be noted in the book available at the
reception.
Guests should ensure that they settle their accommodation / canteen bills at the
time of vacating their room. In-charge (IIA-House Keeping) will provide the
necessary cash receipt in this connection.
Guests should hand over their room keys with the reception at the time of checkout, without fail.
Guests may contact Mr.K.Mohankumar, In-charge (IIA-House keeping) on his

A well equipped canteen is functional at the complex to cater to the needs of the guests
who stay there. The timings and present rates are:

Breakfast and dinner will be provided on all days. Lunch will be provided
only on holidays.
On working days, lunch will be provided at the institute canteen.
Guests should register their names for breakfast / lunch / dinner at least four
hours in advance.
Guests should strictly adhere to the above canteen timings.
Guests desiring a non-vegetarian dish with their meals at BHASKARA
canteen should register their names at least one day in advance.
The rate for the non-vegetarian dishes will be extra to the above and on shared
basis between those who opt for them.

Allotment of hostel rooms will ordinarily be on shared basis between the students
from the same batch.
PDF, post Ph.D and Ph.D students who are in the final stages of their thesis work
will be considered for single accommodation, subject to availability of rooms.
Married students desiring institute accommodation are required to write to the
Administrative Officer for approval.
A sum of Rs.2500/- will be deducted as refundable Hostel Caution Deposit from
the fellowship amount of the students who reside in the complex.
Cooking is prohibited in all the rooms as well as common areas.
Any damage to the hostel property, misconduct in hostels will lead to disciplinary
action and recovery of cost for damages.
Use of immersion coil water heater inside the rooms is prohibited.
Students are expected to be in proper attire when they visit common areas for
dining, reading newspapers, watching television or discussions.
Students are expected not to indulge in any activity in his / her room or the
common areas that might be of disturbance to others.
No material kept for use in common areas should be taken to the rooms and vice
versa. Students should use the common areas with utmost care.
Smoking and consumption of alcohol is prohibited inside the complex.
Students shall handover all the hostel items provided to them by the institute and
obtain No Due Certificate at the time of leaving the hostel.
Mutual interchange of rooms is prohibited.
Students who desire to accommodate their personal guests can do so only after
obtaining prior approval by writing to the Administrative Officer.
The above rule also applies to the guests of students whom the latter may want to
accommodate in his / her room.
Entertaining unauthorized guests by the students is prohibited. If found, hostel
accommodation to the concerned student will be cancelled.
