ARM AMBA® AHB™ peripheral device
ARM® Cordio® BT4 Radio IP for TSMC 55nm incorporates Bluetooth® Core
Specification Version 4.2 with a Low Energy Core Configuration (Bluetooth Smart)
that is suitable for applications requiring single-mode devices. This sub-volt, low-power
core is designed for optimal efficiency with ARM Cortex® (M) series of processors
and is targeted towards the TSMC 55nm LP process node.
Cordio BT4 Radio IP is a native sub-1 Volt platform – all the core circuits within the
radio are designed at 950 mV (nominal). Due to the lower operating point for the
internal circuits, the total power consumed during TX and RX is <6.5mA @1V. The
radio has a receive sensitivity of -94 dBm.
This IP solution is the only fully integrated platform in the market today and includes
a transceiver, baseband, and link layer (LL) firmware. Cordio BT4 Radio IP can be
combined with Cordio BT Stack and Profiles creating a complete “RF-to-application”
IoT solution.
