EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
We are currently recruiting for the position of Sample Preparation Manager for our Vancouver facility. Reporting to the
General Manager – Vancouver, the Sample Preparation Manager position oversees all aspects of operation including
sample receiving, sorting, job login, sample preparation process (crushing, pulverizing & sieving).
Qualifications:



BSc in Chemistry, Geology or relevant industry experience
Minimum 2 years experience in management or supervisory position
Minimum 5 years experience in Sample Prep or mining lab environment
Responsibilities include but not limited to:







Overall prioritization of work based on rush requests or by prioritized clients
Tracking and moving older jobs in the system, while following up on samples that are placed on hold
Dealing with employee issues including hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, scheduling, conflict resolution,
and training
Maintenance of training matrix and records of all sample preparation employees
Creating and implementing a formal training module for employees
Contacting clients with prep related issues while upgrading major issues to the client services group
Works as part of a bigger team with other managers to continuously improve systems

Other tasks or projects as assigned by General Manager
Remuneration:

Negotiable based on knowledge and experience
