Abstract VAUC 2015 Test and Simulation correlation for a double wall structure including non-resonant paths Dr. Alexander Peiffer Airbus Group Innovations The SEA simulation of double walls requires several indirect or non-resonant paths; the mass law and the double wall junction including multiple paths. Those paths are naturally included in the SEA matrix of the model but are not considered in the calculation of the physical units as pressure or velocity. This reason for this is, that the so called engineering units function considers only the resonant energy in the subsystem and neglects the forced motion from the indirect paths. This presentation deals with a method to include the non-resonant components into the engineering unit calculation. The results are compared to tests and some analytical studies of a double wall set up. Test and simulation agree much better with the non-resonant component. The analytical studies of the double wall junction show some conflicts between the mass law of single and double wall components.
