The Delkor ALT.1 is a one-piece, highly robust rail fastener consisting of a top plate and base frame, which are durably Vulcanised together by means of a natural rubber boot. The underside of this rubber component is specially profiled and designed to allow movement of the top plate holding the rail. The outer frame of the ALT.1 rail fastener totally encompasses the top plate, making the unit totally fail-safe. The ALT.1 rail fastener ensures the necessary resilience in all six degrees of movement. This feature also reduces the dynamic stress on the anchoring elements and the base structure. The profiled rubber on the bottom side of the ALT.1 is only exposed to compression loads, with its spring characteristic becoming more progressive as the load increases. This avoids excessive deflections in the event of overloading the fastener. Another feature of the ALT.1 is that the rubber boot is not subjected to any preload, which ensures resistance to aging and provides long maintenance-free performance across a wide variety of applications. The Delkor Egg is a highly resilient rail fastener consisting of a top plate and base frame, which are durably Vulcanised together by means of a natural rubber collar. This achieves a low static stiffness while ensuring a high degree of rail stability. The Egg rail fastener ensures optimum vibration and structure-borne noise reduction in six degrees of movement. Due to the very low dynamic to static stiffness ratio, the Egg achieves a high degree of vibration and secondary noise attenuation. Eggs for Turnouts Rail fastening systems for Special Trackwork on Slab Tracks For installation on turnouts, diamond crossings and switches. The Egg for Turnouts was developed for the direct fixation of turnouts, crossovers, expansion joints etc. on ballastless track to provide high vibration attenuation. The concept was for discrete elastomeric fasteners to which the turnout baseplates can be simply fixed by means of bolts. Turnouts that are designed with bolt down baseplates, can be directly fixed to Eggs for Turnouts using the same baseplates. A retrofit option is also available where by the Eggs can be matched drilled to the existing turnout baseplates. To achieve this, four sizes have been developed to accommodate the turnout baseplates.
