What makes perfect sense to God, often seems so “crazy” to us! Consider the mission Jesus calls us to join and how it is accomplished... Monday: Acts 10:38 “And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” • • • What does it mean to be “anointed...with the Holy Spirit and with power”? Jesus went around “doing good.” How does this happen or look like in your life? How do you know “God is with you?” Tuesday: Acts 20:24 “But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus - the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” • • • How do you share or “tell others the Good News?” Paul was considered one of the first missionaries. Who is a missionary? How can you be a missionary? What do you think “missional” means? Describe or define how your life can be more missional... Wednesday: Matthew 28:18-20 “Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” • If the Great Commission applies to all followers of Jesus, • • how are you, or can you “make disciples?” Do you have spiritual mentors in your life? Why or why not? Who could you ask to serve as a spiritual mentor in your life? What are Jesus’ “commands?” How can you better live these out? Thursday: 1 Corinthians 3:6-7 “I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. It’s not important who doe the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.” • • • What do you think these verses mean and how were, and are they reflected in your life? “God makes the seed grow” - what is the “seed” and how does it grow? How are you planting “seed” and “watering” it in other people’s lives? Friday: • • • Read Acts 8:26-40 Put Phillip’s experience into a modern context... Where are you encountering people on “roads in the desert?” How do we/you get invited into someone’s “chariot?” www.weallneedgrace.com
