EXPLANATION OF SCHOOL FEES
General Fee
Laundry Service Fee
n The general fee covers expenses associated with publications, initial ID card, post office box rental,
registration, and school activities.
n Only boarding students are charged a laundry fee, which covers dry cleaning and laundry service
for up to 25 to 30 pounds of clothing per week and use of dedicated washers and dryers on campus.
Technology Fee
Health Services Fee
Tuition Refund Plan*
n This fee covers software and network resources, including Internet access, maintenance, and support.
n This fee covers routine physician and nursing services and overnight stays at the school’s health center.
n This plan is billed at 2.7 percent of your tuition responsibility (tuition less grant). This plan is
mandatory unless the full year’s tuition and fees are paid by July 15. We must also receive the waiver
form by July 15 in order to waive this fee. The brochure that explains coverage and the waiver form are
available at www.nmhschool.org/Financial-Services.
Primary Health
Insurance*
Meal Fee
n School health insurance is mandatory for U.S. citizens unless you submit a Student Insurance
Information Form indicating that your student has adequate coverage with a U.S. carrier. A copy of the
front and back of your health insurance card is required as well. All international students are required
to enroll in the school insurance plan without exceptions.
n The fee for meals is charged to day students only. It covers all meals for which a student is required
to be on campus.
International Fee
n The international fee is for families who need student visas (I-20) in order to study in the U.S.
The NMH Center for International Education provides a range of services for these students and
their families.
All fees are mandatory.
* May be waived if certain conditions are met.
Billing Schedule

n NMH traditionally bills twice a year. The first 65 percent of a family’s portion of tuition,
plus fees less the enrollment deposit, is due July 15, 2015; the remaining 35 percent is due on
December 1, 2015. Bills are sent out electronically by mid-June.
In addition to the regular billing schedule NMH offers other payment options to families who
wish to make monthly payments on the balance they owe. If you have questions, please feel free
to call Joanne Graves (413-498-3268) or Angie Fletcher (413-498-3189) in the accounting office.
