This ensures faster tripping for current limiting. The entire current carrying path is designed to achieve a very low watt loss The result-very low let-through, cut-off current and fault clearing time • Mechanical anti-reclosing This unique feature ensures that under short circuit conditions, the contacts open and latch even before the release gives a trip command to the mechanism. • Positive isolation The MCCB toggle indicates the true position of the main switching contacts • Double insulation Internal accessories are housed in insulated casings to ensure a first level of insulation. When the front cover is opened for the fixing of internal accessories, the MCCB is totally insulated ensuring double insulation. This avoids contact re-closing and bounce Forward or reverse connection MODbreak MCCBs can be forward or reverse connected to allow reversal of line and load connections. This is especially important for MB and MBC chassis where MODbreak MCCBs are reverse connected on the chassis as standard. 5 MODbreak Moulded Case Circuit Breakers Technical data MCCB Ampere Frames (AF) MCCB Types 250 A 400A 630A MB2 MB3 MB3 D N Poles D N 3 or 4 3 or 4 Thermal magnetic dial adjustment range Thermal Magnetic & Electronic 0.8 to 1.0 x In and 6 – 10 x Im MB4 N N 3 or 4 3 or 4 63, 160, 250, 320, 400 63, 160, 250, 320, 400, 630 A 800, 1000, 1250 Thermal Magnetic & Electronic 0.8 to 1.0 x In and 6 – 10 x Im Thermal Magnetic & Electronic 0.8 to 1.0 x In and 6 – 10 x Im Electronic - OCR (Over Current Relay) dataOCR (Over Current Relay) data 63, 100, 125, 160, 200, 250 Current Ratings of OCRs (A) OCR types D 800/1000/1250 MTX1 Electronic OCR data OCR adjustments via DIP switches Adjustment range (LT) 0.4 to 1.0 in steps of 0.05 or OFF Adjustment of LT time delay Ir 10s at 6 Ir or 3s at 6 Ir and 10s at 7.2 Ir or 3s at 7.2 Ir LT Thermal memory Enable / Disable (θ = ON or 0 = OFF) Adjustment range (ST) Ir 1.5, 2.5, 4, 5.5, 6.5, 8 x Ir Short time setting time delay 100ms / Instantaneous or OFF Fixed Instantaneous OCR setting 10 x In 10 x In MCCB data Impulse withstand Voltage (kV) 8 8 8 8 690 690 690 690 750 AS/NZS / IEC / CE 750 AS/NZS / IEC / CE 750 AS/NZS / IEC / CE 750 AS/NZS / IEC /CE Rated Operational Voltage (V) (max) Rated Insulation Voltage (V) Standard and approvals AS/NZS 60947.2 IEC-60947-2 230 / 240 V AC 400 / 415 V AC 65 36 85 50 65 36 85 50 65 36 85 50 85 50 500 V AC 25 36 25 36 25 36 25 550 V AC 18 25 15 20 15 20 20 IcU 600 V AC 16 18 12 18 12 18 16 kA 690 V AC 10 15 8 15 8 10 10 250VDC (3P in series) 15 25 15 25 15 25 - 500VDC (3P in series) L/ R<15ms 5 10 5 10 5 10 - 100% 100% 100% 100% 100% 100% 100% Ics as % lcu Life span Mechanical 25000 15000 15000 8000 Electrical @1.0 In 10000 4000 2000 750 Operating Frequency (Hz) 50 / 60 Total Opening Time <10 msec Finger-proof Terminals Via use of MB terminal covers <20 msec Ambient Temperature -5°C to + 55°C Storage Temperature - 35°C to + 70°C Mounting Positions Dimensions (W x D x H) Vertical and 90° to the left and right 3 Pole 105 x 96 x 179 140 x 111.5 x 266 140 x 111.5 x 266 210 x 143 x 370 4 Pole 140 x 95 x 179 183.5 x 111.5 x 266 183.5 x 111.5 x 266 278 x 143 x 370 2.5 / 3.3 5.5 / 7.2 6 / 7/.8 13 / 16 3 Weight (kg) (3/4 Pole) Accessories Internal Auxiliary Contact 1C/O or 2C/O Trip Alarm Contact 1C/O Auxiliary & Trip Alarm Contact 1C/O + 1C/O Shunt Release 110 - 415V 50/60Hz, 110 - 220V DC External Under Voltage Release 220 - 240 V 50 Hz Extension handle 3 3 3 Direct mount handle 3 3 3 X Handle mechanism padlock attachment 3 3 3 3 Captive toggle padlock attachment 3 3 3 3 Mechanical Interlock 3 3 3 X Motor operator for remote operation 3 3 3 X Transfer switch controller 3 3 3 3 Spreader bars for MCCB terminals 3 3 3 3 Terminal covers - same width as MCCB 3 3 3 3 Terminal covers - wide width 3 3 3 X Terminal covers - flush 3 3 3 X Interpole barriers – c/w with MCCB 3 3 3 3 Chassis rated 800A for 250AF 3 3 3 X Chassis (high current) up to 2200A 3 3 3 X MODpower Air Circuit Breakers Range MP1-12S MP1-16S Features: • Current rating from 400 A to 4000 A in 3 frames sizes • Superior safety features - arc chute interlock, smart racking shutter, ready to close contact.
