Dialight’s unique new product enables replacement of older units with a head that integrates LED signals into the housing; unlike other products on the market, this facilitates replacement of existing units with a single purchase and does not require the assembly in the field, of an LED module into a traffic signal head. Efficiency Dialight’s new traffic signal head also offers greater operational efficiency, consuming less than seven watts as compared to existing LED units, which consume up to 30 watts, and older incandescent signals, which use up to 165 watts. The new integrated traffic signal housing is sealed against moisture and is backed by a 15-year warranty, with 1 power supply replacement recommended during the warranty period or with optional 15-year long life power supply, consult factory for more information. Compatibility, Forward and Backward The integrated traffic signal head is fully compatible with the wiring and mounting hardware that supports existing signal units. Unlike other products on the market, Dialight’s integrated traffic signal head is designed for maximum flexibility, featuring a replaceable power supply that allows users to accommodate initiatives such as conversion to DC voltage to enhance public safety. With the integrated Dialight product, the conversion can be accomplished by simply replacing the power supply rather than replacing the entire LED traffic signal module. The new product, for which multiple patents are pending, will be offered in standard housing colors, and the efficient LED signals provide vivid red, yellow and green lighting in ball and arrow configurations. The new head is designed to comply with the current ITE optical and electrical requirements.
