Manufacturing relocation/flexibility of Box Type Film Capacitors

Box type capacitors produced by former Arcotronics and Evox Rifa locations, acquired by KEMET Corporation.
Change Description
Following acquisition of Arcotronics and Evox Rifa, the KEMET strategic plan continues to provide our Customers
with product offerings from our global manufacturing network. KEMET now has the ability to ship equivalent
products (see affected products above) from any internally qualified KEMET location.
This capability not only provides multiple manufacturing sites, but allows KEMET additional shipping flexibility. This
enhances our ability to react to Customers’ urgent needs in emergency situations and provides the potential for
commitment to shorter lead times in general. This is achieved without impact to product form, fit, or function as the
products are equivalent with respect to physical, mechanical, quality and reliability characteristics. Each qualified
location utilizes common manufacturing processes, complies with standardized control techniques, and meets
stringent qualification testing to guarantee product performance. This allows KEMET to focus on best practices,
bringing to market products resulting from the most technically advanced processes possible.

As integration of these products is already complete, KEMET has the ability to implement this flexible supply
approach immediately.
Beginning date July 1 2010, KEMET shall expand this change to the locations per Attachment 2.
KEMET is now ready to extend this change to the location per Attachment 3.
KEMET is now ready to transfer Monghidoro (Italy) facility production lines to Sasso Marconi (Italy) facility to
consolidate Italian plants. Monghidoro plant shall stop acknowledging orders on November 20 2011, and shall issue
the last shipment on February 28 2012. Monghidoro facility will then be closed.
KEMET is now ready to transfer Landberg (Germany) facility production lines to Skopje (Macedonia). Skopje
facility will also start being an additional source plant for most of the DC Film pns, to improve KEMET
production flexibility. Landsberg plant shall stop acknowledging orders on January 31 2013, and shall issue
the last shipment on February 28 2013. First shipments from Skopje (Macedonia) shall take place on Jan 16
2013, so there will be an overlap period.
Without acknowledgement of this notification by March I 2009, KEMET will proceed to implement the change as
described herein.
Without acknowledgement of this amendment notification by April 2 2010, KEMET will proceed to implement the
change as described herein.
Without acknowledgement of this amendment notification by November 25 2010, KEMET will proceed to implement
the change as described herein.
Without acknowledgement of this amendment notification by November 17 2011, KEMET will proceed to implement
the change as described herein.
Without acknowledgement of this amendment notification by November 30 2012, KEMET will proceed to
implement the change as described herein.
All products, regardless of location of manufacture are identified with a KEMET customer label indicating the
KEMET logo, customer part number, and KEMET equivalent part number. As we continue the integration process,
product packaging may exhibit the Evox Rifa or Arcotronics logo. When integration is complete, only the KEMET
logo will be used.
Attachment 1 provides examples of shipping labels from two of our qualified locations.
Attachment 2 provides examples of shipping labels from two additional qualified locations.
Attachment 3 provides examples of shipping labels from one additional qualified location.
Attachment 1 provides examples of shipping labels from Sasso Marconi facility.
Attachment 4 provides examples of shipping labels from Skopje (Macedonia) facility.
The country of origin (C of O or COO) will vary, depending upon the location the product was manufactured in.
