T O K I S TA R L I G H T I N G INSTRUCTION MANUAL TokiLux WG Series 24 VDC or 24 VAC TM General Description Tokistar’s TokiLux WG Series may be operated at 24 VDC or 24 VAC. Light Bars are installed end-to-end within the TokiLux track. Each Light Bar contains five LEDs and consumes a total of 4 watts. An individual run length may contain up to 24 Light Bars. Each track is labeled with wattage and operating voltage. Light Bar TokiLux Track Multiple Length Assembly Any run length exceeding 12 Light Bars will be supplied as multiple lengths to be joined. Channel with parallel louvers require Flex Connectors to join the lengths. TokiLux Track Light Bar Retainer Clips Maximum Run Length Maximum 24 Light Bars PRECAUTIONS 1. Read all instructions completely before beginning installation. 2. Turn off electricity before beginning installation. 3. All wiring is to be performed by a qualified electrician. 4. Installation must comply with the National Electrical Code, and all applicable codes. 5. Turn main supply to the LED Driver on only after all connections have been made and tested. 6. Up to 24 Light Bars can be powered from a single connector. Flex Connectors turn corners and enable smaller sections to conform to curves. Part#:TLX-FLC-WG Part#:TLX-CON-WG A Retainer Clip is required between the 4th and 5th LED of the 1st Light Bar Retainer Clips Retainer clips are included with Feed Connectors, Flex Connectors and fixtures exceeding 12 Light Bars. These snap onto the fixture to provide a secure connection. Retainer Clip Channel with parallel louvers require Flex Connectors to join the lengths.. Retainer Clips snap in place from above. End Cap Mounting Clamp End Caps insulate the end of a run of TokiLux WG. Mounting clamps are attached with screws and the Tokilux WG fixture is snapped in place. Recommended spacing is every 12". Open Adjustable Bracket, then attach to ceiling with screws. Rotate fixture to vertical position. Installation with Fixed Mounting Bracket. Adjust fixture to precisely focus light where needed. TokiLux WG Installation Instructions Page 3 TM Secondary Circuit Wiring Secondary Circuit Limit Do Not Exceed 4 Amps (96 watts @ 24 VDC or 24 VAC) A maximum of 24 Light Bars can be powered on one circuit from the power supply. Recommended Lead Wire Size The distance from the power supply to the fixture, and the load of the fixture, will determine the proper size of secondary wire. Feed Connectors are provided with a 6' lead. If additional wire needs to be attached to the Feed Connector, refer to the recommendations in this chart. Refer to the manual provided with the LED Driver for detailed installation instructions. Part# LDR24-4A Input Volts 100~277 Output Volts 24 VDC Output Ratings 1 @ 4 Amps LDR24-192 Tokistar’s Class 2 LDR24-192 has two independent 96 watt outputs. If the system is dimmed, each of the outputs requires an independent dimmer pack. This unit has wiring compartments for splicing on input and output leads, and can be connected directly to conduit. Refer to the manual provided with the LED Driver for detailed installation instructions. Part# LDR24-192 Input Volts 100~277 Output Volts 24 VDC Output Ratings 2 @ 4 Amps TokiLux WG Installation Instructions Page 4 TM LC-1CH-MULTI Dimming System Dimmer Pack - Part #: LC-1CH-MULTI Each dimmer pack receives 24 VDC from an LED Driver. The LDR24-192 LED Driver has two independent 96 watt outputs. Each output requires an independent dimmer pack. DMX Mode - Each unit is independently addressable. Up to 36 dimmer packs may be connected in series. For applications exceeding 36 dimmer packs, an additional feed from the DMX dimmer is required. The additional feed(s) can be sent directly from the dimmer, or you may use DMX Splitters. Consult factory on details of DMX Splitters. Analog Modes - For operation from devices using 0/1-10VDC protocol, up to 10 dimmer packs may be connected in series. For applications exceeding 10 dimmer packs, an additional feed from the analog dimming device is required. Manual Mode - You may select a light intensity the fixtures will operate at. In this case, no external dimming device is required. LC Dimming System Dimmer Pack - Part #: LC-1CH-DP Each dimmer pack receives 24 VDC from an LED Driver. A CAT5 cable is provided with each unit. Up to 25 dimmer packs may be connected in series if the total length of all CAT5 cable does not exceed 165 feet from the wall dimmer to the last dimmer pack. LED Driver 24 VDC For further information, refer to the instruction manual provided with the LC-1CH-MULTI. Wall Dimmer - Part #: LC-DMR Power to the remote wall dimmer is provided from the LED Driver powering the first Dimmer Pack. A 50 foot CAT5 cable is provided. They must be installed within an enclosure suitable for the environment. TokiLux WG Installation Instructions TM Page 5 24 VAC Magnetic Transformers TokiLux WG may also be operated from Tokistar 24 VAC magnetic transformers. Transformers should be installed in an accessible location. Magnetic transformers generate heat and must be installed in locations where there is free-air circulation. Refer to the manual provided with the transformer for detailed installation instructions. Dimming Although Tokistar Transformers are fully dimmable on the primary input with phase control/triac dimming systems, they may not show favorable results at all dim levels. Optimum dimming results are achieved with our 24 VDC Drivers and our pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming devices installed on the secondary output of drivers.
