Part-time faculty – Diesel Power Technology
SPRING 2016 SEMESTER
Vermont Technical College is seeking an experienced truck or heavy equipment technician
for an adjunct faculty position in the Diesel Power Technology Program for the 2016 Spring
semester on the Randolph Center campus.
DSL 2040 Power Transmission (Drive Systems)
Coursework for Power Transmission includes introduction to power transmissions, clutches
and torque converters, manual transmissions, power-shift transmissions, automatic
transmissions, power-train management, electronically controlled transmissions, final drives
and drives shafts.
Three (3) hours of lecture and three (3) hours of lab each week. Hours of instruction could
be adapted to the candidate’s schedule.
Bachelor’s degree plus significant field related experience (5-7 years) and field related
certification/licenses where appropriate. The successful candidate will have significant paid
professional experience and theoretical knowledge in the above mentioned content areas.
Experience teaching adults a plus.
