AwoX unveils the first ever connected lightbulbs
featuring Mesh Technology at IFA 2016!
AwoX (Euronext - FR0011800218 – AWOX), a pure play tech company specialized in Smart Home
solutions, will be presenting at IFA Berlin 2016 its eco-system of intelligent lighting, and will reveal the
AwoX SmartLIGHT Mesh series: a new line of connected lightbulbs equipped with Mesh Technology.
Thank to this latest technological breakthrough, it is now possible to control as many smart lights as
desired at home, from a farther distance, and all with the simplicity of Bluetooth.
AwoX SmartLIGHT Mesh: an eco-system of intelligent lighting now
with increased coverage at home!
Our new range of connected lighting is packed with possibilities for consumers looking to
purchase or change existing lightbulbs at home. Mesh lightbulbs come with several features,
including:

Improved Bluetooth coverage: the basic principle of Mesh Technology consists in
relaying a signal from a lightbulb to another in order to expand Bluetooth coverage to
all lightbulbs in a household. Thanks to this new technology, it is possible to take
advantage of the simplicity of Bluetooth (compatible with all smartphones and tablets
on the market without the need for extra material in order to connect to the internet)
and control all lightbulbs within a house, whether they are located in the garden or on
the 3rd floor. Traditional Bluetooth coverage is typically limited to 15 meters; with
Mesh, it is now possible to cover distances over 50 meters.

Bluetooth Mesh Network Security: the connection is automatically protected by a
unique password among all family members within a shared household. These security
measures are the result of AwoX’s latest security protocol, the AwoX “Home Secure
Account” (HSA) that the company will be integrating into its SmartCONTROL app in
September 2016, which will make it impossible for any unauthorized user to take
control of a lightbulb that they do not own.

Better lightbulb group management: one of the main advantages of connected lighting
is being able to manage several lightbulbs in a group in order to control all of them with
a simple click. With Mesh Technology, AwoX can now group up to 50 lightbulbs,
compared to previous Bluetooth connections which were limited to 8 lightbulbs.

Real time feedback for groups or individual lights. Previous technology had to
communicate to each lightbulb in a group, one by one. With Mesh Technology, the
signal is immediately propagated from lightbulb to lightbulb, without the need of
returning to a smartphone.
Available 4th quarter 2016, the SmartLIGHT Mesh product range will begin with two models:

An E27 lightbulb with G60 form, 806 Lm, 60 W equivalent (9W LED), 16 million colors
and multi-white (warm to cold).
An E27 lightbulb with G95 form, 1050 Lm, 75 W equivalent (13W LED), 16 million colors
and multi-white (warm to cold).

Winner at the CES 2016 Innovation Awards and the MedPi 2016 Innovation Awards,
SmartPEBBLE is true innovation for controlling lighting at home. The switch comes in two parts:
a button in the shape of a small stone, and its wall plate. The choice is yours; either leave the
light switch on its wall plate, or carry SmartPEBBLE with you throughout the house (battery
operated). SmartPEBBLE commands are natural and intuitive, through the use of simple
gestures, and offer a brand new way of controlling light at home.

With its elegant and discrete design, SmartPEBBLE blends in to any decor and follows you
anywhere you need a light switch, and without all the cables! Installation only takes a few
seconds: SmartPEBBLE has magnetized backing which sticks to any metallic surface, such as a
refrigerator, or you can use the adhesive ribbon to stick the wall plate onto a flat, dry surface or
you can simply screw the wall plate into place like a traditional light switch.

Getting started couldn’t be any easier! Simply turn on the products you wish to control with
SmartPEBBLE, turn off the others, and then pull out the battery tab located at the back of the
SmartPEBBLE. The lightbulbs will then automatically connect to the light switch! This new
generation of light switches is completely autonomous and very easy to install: no need for a
smartphone, an internet hub or extra cables.

Easy to install anywhere thanks to its flexibility and adhesive backing,
SmartLIGHT StripLED is an adaptable ribbon of light that can be cut every
12 cm to decorate any space! Light up your entryway, living room,
bedroom, kitchen, or bathroom guided by your desires and your
imagination! Once installed around the edges of your bed, doorways,
dressing room, closets… add mood lighting to any space for atmosphere
(e.g. festive, romantic or relaxing) or different activities (e.g. work, reading, TV, cooking) with
the exact brightness and color desired (100% adjustable).
This decorative, energy-efficient LED ribbon is easy to control from a smartphone, a tablet or a
smartwatch via the SmartCONTROL app (iOS & Android) or simply with the connected light
switch SmartPEBBLE. It is possible to program lighting schedules to turn SmartLIGHT StripLED
off & on from the app, or to automatically turn on the lights with proximity detection of a
