Introduction
Disconnectors and earthing switches are used to protect personnel while working on
operational equipment and must therefore be very reliable and operationally safe–even under
adverse climatic conditions. Disconnectors and earthing switches are often offered as a
combination of both.

of 3s depending on the type has been tested.
All switches are type-tested according to IEC 62271-1 standard.
For each switch an instruction manual for transportation, mounting and commissioning is
included. This instruction manual should be strictly followed.
Operating conditions
◦ Installation can be carried out of heights of up to 1,000 m above seal level.
◦ The switches are designed for normal operating conditions according to IEC 62271-1 standard.

Technical description
The disconnectors is able to carry its rated short time and rated withstand current according to
the data as the type plate. The base & main frames of the switches are galvanized.
The main contact system is made of electrolytic copper and the surface is chromium plated.
