CHOOSING YOUR EXTERNAL ASSESSOR Our External Assessor organisations from our Australian Service Excellence External Assessors Provider Panel. They are experienced in reviewing against the Australian Service Excellence Standards. Our External Assessors have been selected for their extensive experience in Community Services and their developmental approach to the external assessment. Our External Assessors agree to the Australian Service Excellence Principles in their work practices and are ethical, fair, independent, use an evidence-based approach to their assessment, exercise diligence and judgement in the conduct of external assessment. Please go to the Australian Service Excellence Standards website for the list of our approved External Assessors on the Provider Panel. www.dcsi.sa.gov.au/ASES You are welcome to contact any of the External Assessors on any aspect of the Australian Service Excellence Standards and to help you choose the External Assessor that best suits your organisation. In choosing your external assessor, consider the following: Existing engagement with other quality frameworks and providers that you may have, Timeframes requested for External Assessment, Availability and current workload of External Assessors, Sector in which your organisation operates, and Special organisation issues or requests. Your organisation may have an existing quality provider who is also an approved Australian Service Excellence External Assessor Provider Panel member, in which case try to continue that relationship rather than allocate another external assessor. If there is current mapping available between Australian Service Excellence Standards and other quality standards, your organisation may be able to arrange joint quality assessment. We are unable to reimburse any costs incurred by your organisation in completing your self-assessment workbooks and in undertaking developmental initiatives to improve your organisation.
