M100 PIR CM100 Data sheet V1.1 Page 2 Product overview PIR CM100 is a Pyroelectric Infrared Ray Sensor capable of detecting Human Movement & luminous intensity. The combined motion and light detection features enables the sensor to offer extended savings of energy by intelligently controlling lights based on the environmental conditions. This product comprises of an Opto sensor, providing occupancy and light level detection. This sensor is a microcontroller based device, and hence the following parameters can be programmed with the help of an IR Device: Time delay Luminous Intensity Threshold Sensitivity Adjustment This is a Ceiling Mounted Sensor and is accompanied by a range of Accessories such as Mounting plate and necessary wiring connector. The produce is very sleek and aesthetically appealing. This product will not virtually disturb the building occupants. PIR sensors when installed in busy-offices, IT or ITES buildings has a potential to save energy anywhere in the range of 20-50% of the lighting load. This is proved by various studies that even during the busy office day people are often away from their desks for various reasons. Added to that building which have abundant availability of natural source of light can be highly benefitted and can go for additional savings by utilizing the Luminous intensity threshold parameter. PIR sensor is easily installable and reliable. Adequate Safety and convenience is built into the product which aids in Occupants comfort and ease of installation. This PIR sensor works in 2 modes: Stand-alone mode: In this mode, lights are directly connected to PIR sensor. So sensor controls light load based on occupancy information and light available from natural source. In-Network mode: PIR sensor is compatible with ConnectM Energy Gateway which aids in central control of Lighting within a building whereby, occupancy can be checked from outside and intruders can be detected and deterred.
