diagnostic operation
• NFPA 101 (life safety code) requires that a
functional test be conducted on every required
emergency lighting system at 30 day intervals for a
minimum of 30 seconds. Additionally, an annual test
must be conducted for 90 minute duration. The
Self-Diagnostics/Self-Test option assists the user in
meeting these requirements.
• Automatic Test: The unit automatically initiates a
Self-Test and Self-Diagnostic test as follows:
Verifies battery disconnection, charger failure, lamp
failure and transformer failure at every 5 seconds.
1 minute battery discharge test every month.
30 minutes battery discharge test on the 6th
month of the year.
90 minutes battery discharge test on the 12th
month of the year.

• Monitors battery voltage, lamp continuity, incoming
utility power and unit performance every 5
seconds without discharging battery or illuminating
lamps.
• Automatically indicates lamp, battery and charger
status by dual-color LED lamp.
• Factory preset does not need field adjustment.
• Integrated function Fire alarm (6V-24V) function is
integrated in Self-Diagnostics/Self-Test Option.
