The topics will cover all fundamental aspects, instrumentation, new developments, optimisation, and applications of the various methods of separation sciences. The attention will be focused on recent advances in: gas and liquid chromatography, supercritical fluid chromatography, electroseparation techniques, hyphenated and multidimensional techniques, comprehensive chromatography with special emphasis on: new separation materials, sampling and sample preparation techniques sample introduction and detection systems, identification and quantitation improvements miniaturization and lab-on-chip Current application of separations methods in: chemical technology and biotechnology, food and pharmaceutical technology, clinical chemistry, biochemistry and biomedicine, toxicology and environmental analysis will be discussed. Emphasis will also be placed on automation. TWO SPECIAL SESSIONS WILL BE A PART OF SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM Chromatography of Polymers and Polymers in Chromatography. Electroseparation techniques and miniaturisation in liquid phase separations. Specialists in the field, research scientists, university teachers and students involved in any aspect of separation techniques are cordially invited to participate in this event. Oral communications and poster contributions are welcome. Presentations of new products and research performed by companies are welcome. The symposium language will be English. No simultaneous translation will be provided. The main symposium programme will be held in Hotel Patria at Štrbske Pleso. Scientific program of Symposium will begin on Wednesday June 27, 2007 by opening morning session and will last until Friday June 29, 2007 afternoon hours. The space will be available also for workshops or seminars. All participants are invited to present their current results from basic or applied research and applications of separation techniques in the above listed and related areas. The organizers would like to encourage especially young scientists to participate in the symposium scientific program. Authors intending to contribute a lecture are requested to attach short preliminary abstract with their pre-registration. Scientific program will comprise both oral and poster presentations. Only limited number of contributions may be accepted for oral presentation. Panels of referees (ISC members) reserve the right of selection. Authors will be informed whether their abstracts have been accepted and about the form of presentation. Short abstracts of all lectures will be included for information in the program booklet. Symposium CD will include the written form of all lectures and poster contributions presented at the symposium: enlarged abstracts-OR-abbreviated papers, obtained before the deadline. Texts may be up to 5 pages long, including tables and figures, all in form readable by MS Office 2000. The text shall be delivered by e-mail preferably, for technical editing purpose the printed copy shall follow. The authors will keep the copyright of their CD-text-contribution. CD-ROM will be provided with full and student symposium registrations. THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING THE PRESENTATION AND POSTER (with preliminary short abstract) WAS POSTPONED TO APRIL 20, 2007. THE FINAL FORM OF ABSTRACT TO SYMPOSIUM CD-ROM SHALL BE OBTAINED TILL MAY 15, 2007. The interest to publish a full paper connected to the scientific contribution at the symposium in recognized scientific journal is welcome. The papers will be subject to regular reviewing procedure. The region belong to High Tatras Nature Park (Reserve) (TANAP), but access by car for hotel guests (also for events) is allowed.
