Business Engineering

Description:
The Business Engineering professional specialisation studies are designed to
respond to the needs of business life in the field of engineering. The aim of the
course is to educate engineers to work in various areas of the business environment
and provide the expertise required in international companies. The main focus of the
course is thus on the skills needed for managing the business based in technology,
especially taking into account the demands and opportunities of the global market.
Scope: 30 ECTS credits
Duration: 5 months, September - February
The programme is carried out as part-time studies on weekends.

An Enterprise as a Complete System, Strategic Management, Marketing of
Technology, Export/Import Management, Accounting, Quality Management,
Networks in Business, Human Resources Management, Induividual Project.

Prerequisites:
A relevant first-cycle/Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other applicable higher
education degree. An applicant’s business experience is considered to be an advantage.
Undergraduate students from Oulu UAS’ School of Engineering’s partner universities
can apply, but they are required to have a suitable study background and a minimum
of 2 years studies at their home university. A good command of English is required.
