PQ first produced soluble silicates for commercial applications

Applications of PQ Soluble Silicates
®
Sodium and potassium silicates have many useful properties that are not shared by other alkaline salts. These varied
properties and functional characteristics can be utilized to efficiently and economically solve many problems that arise in
chemical and industrial processes.
Current and prospective users find valuable data in the PQ special bulletins issued on individual applications. PQ Research
Laboratories develops the standards we have fixed for various PQ products, and engages in developing new products and
applications. Our Technical Service Department can offer suggestions that save investigators and users valuable time.
PQ technical knowledge is based on more than a century’s experience in silicate manufacture and use.
PQ manufactures soluble silicates at plants located throughout the U.S., ensuring efficient and dependable service to
customers nationwide. In addition, soluble silicates are produced in Canada by a subsidiary, National Silicates,
Toronto, Ontario; in Mexico by an affiliate, Silicatos y Derivados, S.A. de C.V., Tlalnepantla, Edo. de Mexico; and in Europe by
