OPERATION
The remote alarm panel is situated in the pump room to monitor signals from the fire pumps and other
equipment. The visual indications are by means of coloured long life light emitting diodes. A mutable
audible alarm also sounds.
PANEL Design
The SPP series 1100 twelve channel remote alarm panel is designed for fire pump service in
accordance with the requirements of Loss Prevention Council (LPC) and BS EN 12845 for providing
visual and audible alarms. There is a zone board allocated for each fire pump and one zone board to
the pump room.

- Pump on Demand
- Pump Running
- Supply Failure
- Pump failed to Start
Each Diesel Fire Pump Zone Board monitors
- Pump on Demand
- Pump Running
- Trouble at Engine or Controller
- Pump failed to Start
The Common Zone Board monitors
- Fire in Pump House
- Pumphouse Low Temperature
- High Water Level
- Low Water Level
The signals are derived from the motor starter(s) and/or diesel controller(s) as well as other pump
room monitored equipment.
The unit operates from a 230 / 240v 1ph 50 Hz supply. Wiring between the remote alarm panel and
other equipment is not of our supply
Enclosure
All the components are housed in a dust and damp protecting single section sheet steel IP51
enclosure having a screw fixed front cover. The enclosure is wall mounted using three internal fixing
points and designed for bottom cable entry.
