Over seeing event management and supporting product management and sales territory strategies are key functions for this position. This position is also responsible for leading and developing the marketing team, participating/leading collaborative cross-functional teams, and managing the marketing budget. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OR TASKS PERFORMED: Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop strategies for conferences and events Oversees and manages the execution of over 100 conferences per year Serves as key interface with the sales organization to ensure brand territory and product strategies are well communicated and executed Gathers, analyzes and evaluates competitive trends, voice of the customer feedback, and market dynamics to ensure competitive positioning, and participates in making recommendations as appropriate Responsible for development and maintenance of company’s brand Oversees development and implementation of sales promotions, collateral and advertising campaigns and social media to support sales Leads and develops the marketing team Able to implement improvements to sales growth and profits based on understanding of company’s business model Responsible for vendor relationships from selection through management, including (but not limited to) the selection of the vendor contracts, negotiations of contracts Participation in field events as required Performs other duties related to marketing and sales management as required General Code reserves the right to adjust, modify or change the job description as necessary to support the needs of the business. 781 Elmgrove Road, Rochester, New York 14624; 585-328-1810 855-436-2633; Fax: 585-328-8189; www.generalcode.com QUALIFICATIONS: Personal values that match General Code’s corporate values BS or BA in business development or related field 5 – 7 years’ experience in marketing, sales and/or business development Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Familiarity with, and experience using databases for business decision making.
