Supplies:
36 to 48 Orings 15mm (celestial blue)
36 to 48 Orings 6mm (teal)
54 to 72 Jump Rings 16g 1/4” (gold)
36 to 48 Orings 7.25mm (bright kiwi)
24” gossamer floss (elastic line)
18 to 24 rhinestone spacers 6mm
36 to 48 beads 4mm (pearls or crystals)
Tools: 1 pair Flat Nose Pliers
1 pair curved needle nose pliers
1 pair long needle nose pliers
1 big eye needle
1. Use long needle nose pliers to pull 6mm
oring onto 15mm oring. Place a 6mm oring
onto the pliers then grab the 15mm oring
with the pliers. Repeat this so that you
have 2.
2. Open 1 16g 1/4” jump ring. Fold each
of the 2 pieces in half from step one and
push them onto the jump ring. Close jump
ring.
3. Repeat step 1 and 2 until you have 18 to
24 pieces.
4. Open 1 16g 1/4” jump ring. Push jump
ring through one of the folded orings in
the first piece and then push the jump ring
through one of the folded orings in a second piece. This step links the two pieces
together on one side. Pick up 2 orings
7.25mm on the jump ring. Close jump ring.
5. Repeat step 4 using a jump ring to connect the pieces at the top (pass jump ring
through the folded orings). Pass the jump
ring through the 2 orings 7.25mm that you
picked up in step 4. Close jump ring.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 using jump rings on
the top and bottom to connect additional
pieces. Each top and bottom jump ring will
always share a pair of 7.25mm orings in the
center.
7. Connect the beginning and ending piece
in the same pattern (a jump ring at top and
bottom with a pair of 7.25mm orings in the
middle).
This completes the chain maille portion of
the piece. You can wear bracelet as is or
move to step 8.
8. String a 24” length of gossamer thread
(this is elastic) onto a big eye needle.
9. Pass needle through 1 pr of 7.25mm orings. Pick up 1 bead 4mm, 1 rhinestone
spacer 6mm and 1 bead 4mm. Pass needle
through the next set of 7.25mm orings.
10.Continue picking up 4mm bead, 6mm spacer
and 4mm bead between all pairs of 7.25mm
orings until complete. Knot thread several
times to finish. Apply glue to knots if
desired.
