How to seal SkyWay RF cable connections
for outdoor installation
A.- PREPARATION:
Material you will need during
installation:
* Provided by Solectek
Qty(2) Coax sealer P/N-1240501
* Not-provided by Solectek
Qty(1)3m vinyl electrical black tape
On the end's of the 8 ft. RF cable you will find
A) Heat shrink jacket
B) "N" type male connector
C) "N" type female D)Antena side
connector

You will only seal the RF "N" type connectors on
the Antenna side of the SkyWay-BridgeKit cable

B) INSTALLATION:
1) Screw the RF "N" type male cable
connector to the antenna and radio "N" type
female connector clock wise finger tight
only. (do not overtighten)
2) With black electrical tape (not provided)
wrap the tape clock wise from the beginning
of the antenna connector and down the RF
cable, past the heat shrink jacket of the RF
cable.
3) Use the coax sealer (provided: P/N
1240501) to cover the same area as the
electrical tape, from the beginning of the
antenna connector and down the RF cable,
past the heat shrink jacket of the RF cable.

4) Wrap another layer of the
electrical tape over the coax sealer
5) Be sure the antenna and the radio RF
connectors are completely covered with
the coax sealer.
6) It is always better to seal the RF
connectors of the antenna and radio
before it is mounted to the mast.

Note: This installation procedure is recommended for the outdoor installation of antennas and the SkyWay
BridgeKit. Improper installation and sealing of the RF cable connectors can allow moisture to
seep into the antenna, the radio or the cable itself. This can damage the equipment or falsely
indicate equipment failure. Careful installation and sealing should prevent damage to the equipment.
Solectek is not responsible for damage caused by improper installation of its wireless equipment.
