Please take the following steps to avoid unnecessary charges against your security deposit.
1. Use your copy of the property condition form and standardized cleaning checklist
provided to properly clean the apartment and make repairs to any damage.
Please refer to the document on our website "How to prepare for move out"
2. Remove all personal property from the apartment and common space
except for furniture previously provided by the landlord.
Note: If you want to leave useful furniture behind notify the landlord by
email to confirm. Broken or soiled furniture will be hauled away at
tenants expense.
3. Return apartment keys by leaving them on the kitchen counter, labelled with your
name. Leave Mail key on hook by the front door of your apartment.
4. Tenants are encouraged to make small repairs within their ability.
5. Tenants can ask for references for repair men prior to move out.
Cleaning Charges:
We do the cleaning for you at a fixed fee. For a fixed fee of approximately $65 per person,
our cleaning contractors will deeply clean your apartment to the specifications of the
cleaning checklist. If they miss something, they come back and correct it for no additional
cost. As long as you remove your personal belongings and trash, the cleaning costs
are fixed and predictable per tenant, and no one gets stuck cleaning up after their roommates
to protect their security deposit from a big charge from an hourly cleaning service bill.
Our management team directs and inspects their work after your lease ends during the
turnover so you don’t even have to deal with making appointments and overseeing the work.
Landlord after the end date of the lease term Flat rates for cleaning charges include material
and labor costs.
You have the option to clean the apartment yourself, but if the checklist is not followed
properly, the cleaning service will complete the cleaning at either a reduced fee if only an
item was missed, or at their full fixed price to detail the apartment.
