The QL lamp systems are based on a unique physical principle of light generation: the QL induction technology. The QL induction technology is a breakthrough for professional and special lighting applications. In conventional lamps life is limited by the life of the electrodes or the filaments. In QL induction lamps there are no electrodes and therefore unprecedented lifetimes of 60.000 - 100.000, this is realized in combination with a excellent quality lighting and a good system efficacy.
QL Induction Lighting technology is based on a principle, which is fundamentally different from that of conventional fluorescent lamps. In
QL induction lamps the electrical energy is supplied to the gas discharge by means of a high frequency (2.65 NHz) electromagnetic field without any electrodes. In conventional discharge lamps the electrodes mostly are the life-determining factor. Since there are no electrodes in QL lamps, life of the system can be extremely long.
A QL induction system features 90% reliability and 70% lumen maintenance after 60.000 hours of operation; a stunning performance that can create major saving in maintenance cost.
The QL discharge vessel is internally coated with fluorescent powder.
Therefore the same range of colors can be achieved as with other fluorescent lamps from the color /80 series, allowing comfortable and effective lighting conditions to be created.
A range of 55W (3500 lm), 85W (6000 lm) and 165 W (12.000 lm) systems affords high quality lighting with big cost of ownership savings for lightings systems in cities, industry and off-shore, cold-storage buildings, advertisement boards and roadway signs
