TM TM TM TM Data Acquisition with Interference-proof PCI Boards Multi-channel data acquisition For the industrial data acquisition and controlling ADDI-DATA has developed the ADDIALOG family comprising 9 analog PC boards for the PCI bus which are used for process controlling, measurement and monitoring as well as for multi-channel data acquisition. Gain and input features (measuring rate, single ended/ differential, unipolar/bipolar) can be programmed individually for each channel, so that each channel can be set optimally according to the measurement requirements of the application in question. Different types of conversion supported by functionalities like programmable timer, scan or external trigger signal make sure that the PC processor capacity is not fully utilized. All outputs are protected against short circuits and fitted with EMI filters. Voltage signals and current inputs are measured most accurately up to a resolution of 16-bit. For the processing of digital 24 V signals, additional optically isolated digital I/O channels are available via a separate connector. By means of a sequence scan list the user can determine which analog inputs can be scanned, in which order and at which measuring velocity. Each of the outputs has a ground channel. In order to protect the boards from interference, the inputs and outputs are electrically isolated up to 1000 V. Furthermore the boards are protected against fast transients, electrostatic discharge and EMI. They are used for example in the industrial I/O controlling, the signal generation, as interfaces to automatic test equipment, for the ON/OFF controlling of electrical devices or as interfaces to machines. They can switch on ventilators, valves, pumps and electromechanical relays. All boards work on the 24V voltage level, which corresponds to the industry standard. To avoid any damages in your application, all outputs are set to the status "0" after a Power-On reset. In addition, the boards feature timers. Timers can be used as programmable watchdogs for resetting the outputs. On the APCI-1500, due to a readable status register the user can check whether a short circuit or overtemperature have occurred.
