TSI-EMT03 Three Phase Synchronous Motor (3HP) lab

The TSI Three Phase Synchronous Motor Lab is flexible training system designed for use in for the Electrical

Laboratories. The product helps students get fully acquainted with the basic concepts, functions and operating principles of a three phase synchronous motor.

The system allows for practical experiment such as investigating the V and inverse V curve of synchronous motor. For engineering students it is important to know how the variation of field current can affect the power factor of the synchronous motor and hence improve the system's performance.

Separate terminals for each winding is brought out on a terminal box fitted on top of the motor so that students can connect them separately to the control panel and can perform experiment correspondingly. All protection circuits are in built, ensuring that there is less chance of faults or danger to user.

TSI-EMT04 DC Series Motor Lab (1HP)

DC Machines are an important part of Electrical

Engineering Syllabus. This system plays a vital role in providing students with a basic knowledge of the operating principles of the DC machine. It provides practical knowledge and explains to students the fundamental concepts of the DC Series Machine.

This lab includes experiments such as operating characteristic and speed controlling of DC Series Machine.

Students gain an awareness of the methods through which the speed of the DC Series Motor can be controlled. The training system includes terminals for optional Rheostats and Starters so that these devices can be connected externally to the panel.

TSI-EMT05 Single Phase Induction Motor Lab

(1HP)

This Single Phase Induction Motor Lab is designed to provide a complete practical learning resource that covers the concepts of a Single Phase

Capacitor Start Induction Motor.

Separate terminals have been provided for main winding, starting winding and capacitor so that students can understand the significance of the individual windings along with the role of the capacitor in operation of the motor in a simple hands-on way.

It covers the phenomenon of excitation, running and reversing of the motor. Students can calculate the equivalent circuit parameters and the power factor of the motor. It demonstrates the relationship between speed and torque, known as load characteristic or speed-torque characteristic of the motor.

All the connections and the appearance of panel are designed in a simple manner. Students can make connections by themselves, using the 4mm safety connection sockets and leads

TSI-EMT06 Synchronous Machine (3 HP) Training

System  

Synchronous Machines are used as generators in power plants because of their characteristic relation of speed with frequency. The TSI Synchronous Machine Training System is designed to demonstrate the fundamental concepts of parallel operation of ThreePhaseSynchronousGenerators.

This product is equipped with advanced measurement system for AC Parameters and DC Parameters. It has an integral built Phase Sequence Indicator which is highly stable and accurate. A large LCD display makes it possible to observe multiple parameters simultaneously. The microcontroller based design provides better resolution and sensitivity as compared to analog meters.

The panel is also equipped with advanced Digital

Synchroscope as well as Conventional Lamps (Dark Lamp

Method) to perform the synchronization of two generators.

Students can learn the basics as well as advanced experiments and safety conditions with precautions that are encountered while generating power with multiple generators .

Various terminals, including three phase starter terminals are provided on front panel to provide flexibility and ease of connections while performing experiments.
